SUMMARY:NYLT - National Youth Leadership Course
DESCRIPTION:*This course has a maximum capacity set by the Scouting America NYLT Course Syllabus \nPlease note: Registration is to be completed by unit leaders only and participants must be 17 years old or under.  \nWhat: National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an action-packed program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experiences they can use in their troops\, crews\, or ships. It’s a hands on\, how to\, course delivered in a unit and patrol centered\, outdoor setting. \nWho: All participants must be a registered member of a Scouting unit. \nScouts BSA: must be at least 13 and hold the rank of First Class. They must have completed “Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops”. \nVenturers and Sea Scouts: must be at least 14\, or 13 and have completed eighth grade\, and fall within the maximum age allowance for their program. They must have completed Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews or Ships. It is recommended that they have had at least one year of camping experience. \nWhen & Where: Pre-course meeting:  TBD \nPlease attend a pre-course meeting at Treasure Valley – Location TBD \nWeeklong Course:  August 8th- August 14th  at Treasure Valley Scout Reservation (limit 48 Scouts) \nCost: TBD per Scout (fee includes course materials\, meals\, t-shirt\, and more!) \n***** 2027 Flyer coming soon \nFinancial Aid is available to those who meet the criteria.
